We have completely redesigned the competency survey and the competency section on Personal and Team Profiles.

The updates include a new look Competency map section on the Profiles and a brand new Insights section on Team Profiles that give a quick overview of the team's strengths, skills gaps, and development opportunities.

To take full advantage of the redesigned competency map and the brand new Insights
section, all users have to complete the new three-part competency survey.

New competency survey

The new competency survey is divided into three steps, with each step containing a list of competencies that users need to rank based on their past experience.

The survey works by dragging and dropping competencies from the left-hand side to the corresponding slot on the right with the strongest competencies (green) at the top and weakest (grey) at the bottom of the scale.

All competencies must be moved to the scale on the right to move to the next set of competencies. There are more slots than competencies on the scale on the right!

Updated competency map section (Personal and Team Profiles)

The updated competency map section on both Personal and Team Profiles now contains a graphic similar to Values section with clickable elements that give more insights into concrete competencies along with behavioural examples of that competency:

On the Team Profile page, the default map is that of the analysed team. Clicking on any of the competencies will open up more insights on that competence along with scores for each team member:

Hovering over a team member on the competency map will reveal their personal competency map:

Just above the competency map is a reminder that shows how many members of the team have already taken the new competency survey. When you can't see a reminder, all members have completed the new survey:

New Team Profile Insights section

The new Insights section on the Team Profile page gives insights into the team's strengths, skills gaps, and development areas.

The Insights are grouped into four sections:

  • All insights
    All insights in one place.

  • Team strengths
Insights into team overall strengths and top skills and competencies.

  • Potential gaps
Skills and competencies that the team is the least confident in.

  • Skill development
Skills and competencies that at least one member is uniquely strong at.

To take full advantage of the redesigned competency map and the brand new Insights
section, all users have to complete the new three-part competency survey.
